Teamly

Dashboard web app for Human Resources platform using Artificial Intelligence to evaluate candidates and form teams
Teamly

Teamly is a dashboard web app with a clear focus on quickly building teams of complimentary roles with the help of AI (Artificial Intelligence).

While this idea is in MVP phase and now seeking investments for developing and growing, we helped the team work consistently from moment 0 to have an interactive prototype that would compliment the pitch deck and would help gather insights and feedback.

Challenge

The current platform is in early stages and doesn't support a lot of the functionalities necessary to enable a complete team recruiting process. The overall experience for employees and employers feels outdated, most of the processes are manual and done on paper.

Not being able to browse jobs or search, filter and sort based on specific criteria, save and apply to jobs, receive personalized offers. The details of a candidate's CV are stored locally, offline making the matching of the corresponding talent with the job, a very slow and manual process.

Solution

Our app simplifies the job application process, allowing users to easily search and apply for relevant job opportunities with minimal effort. The app also uses AI (Artificial Intelligence) to form teams for longer term engagements.

The app facilitates smooth and effective communication between job seekers and employers, enabling direct interaction and information exchange. It provides features that allow job seekers to effectively highlight their skills, qualifications, and experiences, engage on CV optimisation experience.

Our journey began with a thorough discovery process, where we uncovered the various challenges and limitations of the current recruitment process. With this valuable insight, we set out to create a more efficient and user-friendly platform that caters to the needs of both job seekers and employers.

During our research process, we examined competitor and similar platforms, analysing their UX, UI, and user flows, with a specific focus on the recruiting process from creating a profile to being contacted for a job application.

We sent a form, scanned survey, and conducted interviews to understand user needs, goals, and behaviour. We used this information to create personas, which represent our job platform's target audience.
Using a customer survey, we gathered insights from our audience and analyzed the data to identify common pain points and goals. This helped us define the needs our product should address.
We identified problems, values, challenges, features, and technology related to our project and used the affinity diagram to visualise the relationships between these elements. This helped us to gain a better understanding of the overall picture and prioritise our next steps.
During our recent project, we defined the stage as a designated platform where performances and events take place. It serves as a central space where we, as performers, engage with the audience, creating a focal point for the overall experience.
The main challenge was to design a platform that enable users to communicate
their skills and experience, connect with the right opportunities with the help of
recommended actions, real-time feedback and system status, optimize the recruiting
process, generate high-quality job listings and provide feedback and suggestions every
step  of the journey.

We explored information architecture. It involves organising and structuring information to enhance usability. By designing the information architecture effectively, we can improve user experience and make information easier to navigate and understand.

In our design process, we utilised low-fidelity designs that struck a balance between visuals and functionality. They showcased key interactions and transitions while allowing for flexibility and iterative development.

Feedback helps us understand the strengths and weaknesses of the model, allowing us to focus on areas that require improvement. It provides us with guidance on how to enhance the model's accuracy, clarity, and overall user experience.
In our design process, we focused on highlighting the main features of the interface using medium-fidelity designs. By emphasising the main features, we ensured clarity and alignment throughout the design process, enabling effective communication and collaboration within our team.

Conclusion & lessons learned

Given the time frame available our strategy was to plan ahead and anticipate as much as I could, scalability and design thinking were factors that played an important factor to crystallise the final deliverables.

With the challenge to create an user-centric solution, we explored different paths to take, experimented with ideas, gathered feedback, designed and developed everything at at faster rate.

It was clear early on that we had to prioritise and optimise the candidate experience so a lot of focus went into this.

Crafting experiences goes beyond just having a solution delivered, the next steps are to track the progress of the platform and develop new strategies in order to match expectations and follow the product roadmap.
